I was fascinated by your account of your journey - mention of the fort at Scilla brought back memories of a rail trip on a student pass way back in 1976. I got off the train from Taranto, in Scilla to stay at the Youth Hostel which was in the castle itself!!<BR/>I wonder if it is still a Youth Hostel! I wonder what Scilla is like now! Am flying to Sicily this Easter! Thanks for the memory!Isabel

I have just read your wonderful account of train travel to Sicilia.<BR/>My italian friend is doing the exact same journey this day, so your description gave me a good feel of what his travel will be....<BR/><BR/>I really felt I was there on the train....marvellous!!!!
